TRANSCEPTA REVOLUTIONIZES HOW SUPPLIERS CAN DELIVER E-INVOICES
Independent Research Firm Acknowledges Transcepta in ePurchasing Market Report
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., October 7, 2008 Transcepta, a leading innovator of hosted electronic invoicing solutions, today announced that a September 2008 Forrester Research report identified the company as one of six vendors to watch in the market. The report titled, “Holistic View: The ePurchasing Software Market” states that “Transcepta revolutionizes how suppliers can deliver e-Invoices.” Forrester interviewed more than 100 companies to develop the report.
“One of the biggest challenges in the Electronic Invoice Presentment and Payment (EIPP) market has been getting electronic invoice data from vendors that still primarily send out paper invoices,” wrote Andrew Bartels, Forrester industry analyst and author of the report. “Transcepta’s technology and pricing will help accelerate supplier support for Accounts Payable (A/P) EIPP, thus accelerating its adoption, but will challenge the business model of [supplier invoice networks].”
Transcepta addresses the issue of supplier adoption head-on by removing the barriers to adoption. Transcepta has developed the industry leading technology and approach to supplier on-boarding. To maximize supplier adoption, Transcepta manages the entire on-boarding process for suppliers. As part of this service, Transcepta works directly with each supplier to determine their optimal invoice submission option. Transcepta offers suppliers a variety of invoice submission options, including their patent pending Transcepta Virtual Printer. For each of these invoice submission options, set up is completed in minutes, vendors do not pay any setup or implementation fees and IT support is not required.
“Supplier adoption is the critical success factor of electronic invoicing,” said Shan Haq, Transcepta vice president of marketing and product management. “We’re pleased to be recognized by Forrester for our technology innovation. Forrester’s assessment of the market reflects our approach, which is heavily geared toward vendor adoption. From day one, our approach has been to enable vendors to take part in e-Invoicing, independent of their size or technology infrastructure.”
The Transcepta Electronic Invoicing Community is a collection of vendors and buyers who leverage Transcepta’s e-Invoicing technology to streamline their invoicing process for better back-office efficiency and stronger trading relationships. Vendors can leverage their existing accounting system without upfront fees or onsite installation. Historical e-Invoicing solutions have had mixed results primarily because the value proposition is typically strong for the buyer and weak for the vendor. Transcepta’s Community is the only solution in the market with tangible benefits for both vendors and buyers.
